Recently handed over from the builder is this large family home in a Bush setting. The home exceeded an Eight (8) star rating using FirstRate5 software and included an ideal orientation, high performance Thermally Broken windows, Earthwool insulation, internally sealed rooms to minimise penetrations through the external building fabric and is installed with a Heat Exchange System. A Blower door test revealed a better than 5 air change result.
The build cost of the project was significant but not out of reach. Hopefully future projects can further these types of results without impacting livability and residential functionality.
